National Student Debt Counselors Network
The National Student Debt Counselors Network (NSDCN) is a first-of-its-kind initiative that empowers nonprofit and community-based organizations across the United States to provide free, high-quality student loan guidance directly to borrowers. It is a CSS initiative supported by funding from Lumina Foundation.
Our Mission
To equip trusted local organizations with the training, tools, and resources needed to help people navigate their student loans, access repayment relief, and achieve long-term financial stability.
Join the Network
If you’re a counselor who provides direct client services and works for a nonprofit or government agency, you’re invited to join NSDCN to access training, guidance, and support on student loan counseling. To learn more, email us at nsdcn@cssny.org.

If you live in New York State, you can access free, direct counseling through another CSS program, the Education Debt Consumer Assistance Program (EDCAP).
