Paid Sick Days: Support Grows for a Work Standard Most Low-Wage Earners Still Lack in New York City

Summary: According to our 2012 survey, The Unheard Third, support for a measure that would guarantee nearly all workers in New York City at least a minimum amount of paid sick leave has grown over the past year. Eighty-three percent of New Yorkers, up from 74 percent a year ago, now say they favor such a law.
