Summary: Even after 12 years of intense scrutiny and reform, New York City’s public education system remains broken. It continues to fail students from low-income communities who need it most. The report details specific actions the de Blasio administration should take to help all New Yorkers receive the education they deserve. This is the third in a three-part series detailing policy recommendations for the new mayor based on findings from The Unheard Third, an annual survey of low-income New Yorkers.
