The Unheard Third 2010: The Jobs Crisis and Ongoing Struggles Among Low-Income New Yorkers

Summary: Though the Great Recession officially ended in 2010, this CSS survey found New Yorkers in 2010 still waiting for the real recovery. Jobs remained the number one issue on the minds of New Yorkers. Prolonged unemployment, underemployment, and lack of workplace benefits led to high levels of hardships and economic concerns among the city's low-income households.
