Bio

Deborah is the Consumer Engagement Manager at CSS’s Community Health Advocates (CHA) program. Deborah works with the statewide CHA Network of Community Based Organizations to illuminate the healthcare obstacles New Yorkers face and the solutions CHA delivers--through consumer stories across communications platforms. Deborah also collaborates with the CHA Helpline to evaluate and communicate trends in consumer barriers to care. Deborah brings extensive experience in healthcare public relations to CHA, having served pharmaceutical companies, non-profits and medical societies to create health education campaigns and bring the patient voice to the healthcare equation. She earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.A., Health Advocacy, from Sarah Lawrence College.
