NY Renters and Homeowners Want Property Tax Reforms Now: Land Value Taxation Has Majority Support Statewide

This report draws on new data from our Annual Survey of Housing and Economic Security to demonstrate the broad public support, both in New York City and statewide, for property tax reform. Specifically, our survey found a majority of New Yorkers want a Land Value Taxation (LVT) as proposed by Assemblymember Alex Bores and Senator Rachel May (A3339B/S1131B).
