Bio
Flor Ramirez is the Supervising Attorney for the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Ombudsprogram (IDDO), where she helps individuals, families, and caregivers navigate the supports and services offered through OPWDD. Flor is passionate about making sure people with disabilities and their families have the information and advocacy they need to be heard and supported.
Before joining IDDO, Flor served as the Associate Supervising Attorney for CHAMP, New York’s ombudsman program for people seeking mental health and substance use disorder care. She has also worked as a Domestic Violence Staff Attorney at The Legal Project in Albany and clerked for the Hon. Marybeth Rogers in the Superior Court of New Jersey.
Flor has a long history with the Community Service Society (CSS), where she’s led statewide advocacy networks and community initiatives connecting people to vital health and social services.
She earned her law degree from the CUNY School of Law and a master’s in public administration from John Jay College.
