Bio

Flor Ramirez is the Associate Supervising Attorney of Community Health Access to Addiction and Mental Healthcare Project (CHAMP), New York State’s health insurance ombudsman program for people who need substance use disorder and mental health care. Prior to returning to CSS, Flor worked as a Domestic Violence Staff Attorney for the Legal Project in Albany, NY. Flor also clerked for the Hon. Marybeth Rogers in the Superior Court of New Jersey.  Flor has a long history of working for CSS. As a CHA program manager, she managed a statewide network of 30 community-based organizations and business serving groups. Flor also supported and managed both CNN and NYS Health Foundation enrollment networks.

Flor received her law degree from the City University School of Law and a master’s in public administration from CUNY John Jay.
