Melissa Kostovski joined the Community Service Society (CSS) in September 2006 as Director of Institutional Giving. In her current capacity, Melissa is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and integration of CSS’ strategic planning and development efforts. Prior to joining CSS, Melissa was Director of Development for Women in Community Service, a national, not-for-profit providing life-skills and job training to low-income women, youth, and incarcerated females. She formerly led the development efforts for City Lights School, a Washington, D.C.-based organization that provided academic, social, and vocational education for at-risk and court-adjudicated youth. She is a former instructor for the University of Maryland’s Center for International Studies, where she taught political perspectives on economics, nuclear proliferation, human rights, and the environment. Melissa studied at the University of London and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Maryland at College Park, with a B.A. in International Relations. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and Grants Managers Network (GMN).
