Director of Institutional Giving
Joined CSS: 2011
Deirdre Ramos joined CSS in February 2011 as the Research and Development Coordinator. In her current role of Director of Institutional Giving, Deirdre leads the organization’s proposal development and submission process, oversees funder research, manages the Institutional Giving fundraising calendar, and cultivates support from foundations and corporations. Upon graduating from Villanova University with a B.A. in English and Political Science, she served as the Development Assistant at Kids Smiles Inc., a non-profit that addresses the oral health crisis for at-risk children through an innovative program that integrates quality dental care, in-house education and strategic outreach efforts. Kids Smiles sponsored Deirdre’s attendance at La Salle University’s Non-Profit Center where she completed several courses in non-profit fundraising and development. Deirdre is also an alumni of New York University’s Fellowship for Emerging Leaders in Public Service—a program that educates a select group of young professionals on how to maximize their leadership impact and build cross-sector partnerships that benefit low-income communities.
“To me, CSS represents hope, strength and opportunity for all New Yorkers. We are the voice of the “unheard”, advocates for the underserved, and proponents of social and economic justice.”
