Throughout its history, CSS has committed itself to the vital work of
providing social services to the poor. Our Social Services Department
meets the needs of low-income New Yorkers and those in temporary crisis (e.g.
food emergency, utility disconnection, eviction) with a range of
programs. We also assist New Yorkers who are transitioning into
work in order to establish a self-sufficiency income.
