Community Service Society and Channel 13 Team Up to Spotlight Hardships Facing Low-Wage Workers
Preview Screening and Discussion of Acclaimed PBS Documentary "Waging A Living" on August 22nd at 6 P.M.
August 17, 2006, New York, NY - Community Service Society President and CEO David R. Jones, and other prominent New York City panelists, will be featured speakers at Channel Thirteen’s preview screening and panel discussion of “Waging A Living,” a film by Roger Weisberg that chronicles the daily battles of four low-wage workers fighting to lift their families out of poverty. The panel will focus on New York City where more than 40 percent of the population now lives in low-income households. A Fact Sheet on low-income workers in New York City is attached.
