Assuring Decent Health Care for the Poor
HEALTH CARE FOR ALL NEW YORK CAMPAIGN
The Health Care For All New York (HCFANY) Campaign is a statewide coalition dedicated to winning affordable, comprehensive, and high-quality health care for all residents of New York by 2010. The Campaign will also promote health reform at the federal level. The Campaign was founded by eight leadership organizations: The American Cancer Society (ACS); Community Services Society (CSS); The Children’s Defense Fund-New York (CDF-NY); Center for Working Families (CWF); Metro New York Health Care for All Campaign (Metro NY); New Yorkers for Accessible Health Coverage (NYFAHC); New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC); and Public Policy and Education Fund of New York (PPEF).
HCFANY has united around 10 Standards for Affordable, Quality Health Care for All in New York that serve as the basis for evaluating health reform proposals. The HCFANY Campaign brings New Yorkers’ voices to the health reform conversation.

The program supports the important role that state-based consumer health advocacy can play in promoting innovative and comprehensive health reform efforts at the state level.
Press Release

been a central concern of CSS. Now, with the increased role of managed
care and a competitive health care market, it is more vital than
ever that the poorest New Yorkers obtain adequate care.
How can we assure that people have access to the
health care services they need? To answer this, we focus on several
fronts:
Medicaid
and Family Health Plus
