Mary Anne Flanagan designs, develops, and implements the citywide RSVP Intergenerational Mentoring Program.
She is currently collaborating with six nonprofit organizations on intergenerational mentoring to children with an incarcerated parent and youth with pending, prior, or possible conflict with the law.

CSS/RSVP Mentoring Children of Incarcerated Parents Program (MentorCHIP) is a site-based mentoring program with an academic and asset based focus, designed to build the academic confidence and social skills of children 6-16 whose parents are incarcerated.

CSS/RSVP Mentoring Uth of Promise (MentorUP) is a site-based mentoring program with an academic and career building focus designed to build the academic confidence and social skills of youth ages 13-18 with pending, prior or possible conflicts with the law.

WHY THIS WORK IS IMPORTANT TO ME:
“I spent many years running youth programs in the South Bronx and saw the need for role models, advocates, and mentors for young people. All youth need opportunity, access, and support and an intergenerational mentoring program allows some of the greatest wisdom keepers to share their talents, life skills, and stories with young people.”
